Anime is another name for the term animated movie / cartoon
Japan. The word is derived from the pronunciation of the word animation which
in Japanese became animeshon which was later shortened to anime. Although
basically the anime is not intended specifically for Japanese animation, but
most people use the word to distinguish between animated film made in Japan and
non-Japanese.
The history of Japanese animation work begins with the First
Experiments done in Animation by Shimokawa Bokoten, Koichi Junichi, and
Kitayama Seitaro in 1913. Then followed a short film that only lasted about 5
minutes Oten Shimokawa work entitled Imokawa Mukuzo Genkanban no Maki 1917. In
then Oten takes 6 months just to do the animation along 5 minutes and still be
"silent movie". Oten works that followed the anime called Saru Kani
Kassen and Momotaro Seitaro Kitayama work in 1918, which was made for the movie
company Nihon Katsudō Shashin (Nikatsu). In 1918 Seitaro re-create the anime
with no Banpei Taro title. But all records about anime is said to be lost due
to the earthquake in Tokyo in 1923.
Anime is a typical Japanese Animation moving image, which is now commonly used by the West to refer to animation produced exclusively in Japan. In addition, this term also refers to all that is written in Japanese animation.
Besides Oten and Seitaro, there are also some other
animators such as, Junichi Kouichi (Hanahekonai Meitou no Maki, 1917), Sanae
Yamamoto (Obasuteyama, 1924), Noburō Ōfuji (Saiyuki, 1926 and Urashima Taro,
1928), Yasushi Murata (Dobutsu Olympic Taikai , 1928). At that time, there are
also the first anime that has a sequel that is Sarugashima (1930) and the
sequel is Kaizoku-bune (1931).
In 1927, the United States has managed to create animation
using sound and at that time only using background music. Japan then follow the
steps and the first anime to use the sound of music is Kujira (1927) Ōfuji Noburō
work. While the first anime that "speak" is a work entitled Kuro
Ōfuji Nyago (1930) and a duration of 90 seconds. One anime recorded before
World War II broke out and the first anime by using optical tracks like those
used at the present time is Chikara To Onna No Yononaka (1932) by Kenzo
Masaoka.
In 1943 Masaoka along with one of his students, Senoo Kosei,
they make approximately five episodes of the anime titled Momotaro no Umiwashi
(Momotaro, the Sea Eagle). Anime that aired this is the first Japanese anime
with a duration of more than 30 minutes (short animated feature film). Nearing
the end of the Pacific War, which in April 1945, Senoo have made and displays
approximately nine episodes of the anime which is a great work, Momotaro: Umi
no Shinpei (Momotaro: Devine Soldier of the Sea). Anime is a Japanese anime
first long duration, which is about 72 minutes (animated feature film). Both
are propaganda anime is adapted from the famous Japanese legend, Momotaro, and
is one of the most popular anime in the future.
Noburō Ōfuji also been trying to make a colored anime. At
that time he made anime Ogon no Hana (1930) with only two colors, but never
released. The first anime that was released with new colors appear shortly
after it is Boku no Yakyu (1948) by Megumi Asano.
When out of contract with Toei padatahun 1962 Tezuka Osamu
Tezuka Production then establish Animation Department, which then called Mushi
Productions with his first short film production Aru Machi Gift no Monogatari
(1962). Mushi Production famous product is Tetsuwan Atom. However Tetsuwan Atom
is not the first locally made animated television broadcast. 1960 was the first
time the TV anime aired in Japan, namely Mittsu no Hanashi (Tree Tales) - The
Third Blood which is the anime TV special. Followed by the broadcast of the TV
anime series production-Pro berjudulInstant Otogi Story on May 1, 1961 in the
television station Fuji (Fuji Terebi). Although only a 3 minute series has
quite gained popularity and last until 1962. The anime simulcast is a sign of
the birth of Japanese anime TV series that first production. However, Tetsuwan
